Call for "Translational Research" Projects 2023

January 3, 2023 | News

In the field of rare diseases as well as in more common diseases, the understanding of pathophysiological mechanisms and the evaluation of innovative therapeutic strategies rely heavily on animal models. Translational research lies at the interface between proof of concept in cells or small animal models and clinical application in patients. At this stage, the use of large animal models is necessary to get as close as possible to the human situation. It can help confirm the relevance of a therapeutic proof of concept or demonstrate the feasibility, efficacy and safety of a therapeutic approach. The call for projects launched by the Rare Diseases Foundation aims to directly support the key intermediate steps of preclinical research projects towards clinical development for human patients.

The deadline for submission is February 23, 2023, 5:00 PM (Paris time).
