The final result of the 2018 Telethon was €85,844,117 (end-of-show counter: €69,290,089). " This 2018 Telethon marked a turning point in our history. We saw, for the first time, heartbreaking images of children regaining their strength thanks to gene therapy. We have heard the testimonies of patients who have regained a normal life when they were suffering from diseases considered incurable. This shows to what extent the fight we have been waging for 30 years is bearing fruit! I would like to thank donors, volunteers and partners from the bottom of my heart for these first victories and for those to come," said Laurence Tiennot-Herment, President of the AFM-Telethon.
