On the bustling streets of Paris, the Paris Marathon and the Paris Half Marathon once again brought together our runners, all united by a common goal: to run while supporting research into rare diseases.
These two iconic events, organized by ASO, were a resounding success, both in terms of sports and community spirit, powerfully illustrating the determination, commitment, and hope that drive each participant.
This year, the Rare Diseases Foundation was able to count on remarkable support from its charity runners at both events. The Paris Half Marathon brought together a dedicated group of runners, while the Paris Marathon also rallied many participants around this vital cause.
But the impact of these events goes far beyond the miles covered. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, significant funds were raised during these two races.
In a nutshell, the Paris Half Marathon raised over €24,000 through 631 donations, with more than 80 runners proudly representing the Rare Diseases Foundation.
The marathon also raised over €38,600, with a total of 920 donations and more than 70 runners who pushed themselves to the limit to support research into rare diseases.
These funds will be entirely dedicated to research, patient support, and raising awareness of rare diseases. Every contribution helps advance science, improve patient care, and bring hope to those who need it most.
The Rare Diseases Foundation would like to extend its heartfelt thanks to all of its runners for their dedication. Every step they took embodied courage, resilience, and hope for a better future.
To all the runners who crossed the finish line with determination, we express our deepest admiration. Your energy, perseverance, and spirit of solidarity are a true source of inspiration.
We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to our donors, whose generosity reflects their invaluable commitment to the fight against rare diseases.
Finally, we would like to thank the entire organizing team of the Paris Marathon and the Paris Half Marathon, as well as Amaury Sport Organisation, which allows us, year after year, to partner with the charity bibs at these two must-attend events.
Together, we have once again shown that even the greatest challenges can be overcome when we come together for a cause that transcends ourselves.
